About the role

Working 8 to 5 Monday to Friday, as the Regional Head of Warehousing you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality service to our customers through solid control of the warehouse operations at Liverpool, Deeside and Grimsby. Whilst also working with all departments to ensure effective completion of plans.

You will be responsible for:
• Maintaining Standards of Health and Safety, Hygiene and Security and BRC AA Accreditation.
• Initiating, coordinating and enforcing optimal operational procedures
• Ensuring information for department KPI’s is collated in an accurate and timely manner
• Management of operational and contractual KPI’s.
• Ensuring the Warehouse is proactive in forward planning to effectively control daily and weekly labour and equipment.
• The warehouse adhering to food hygiene policies and adhering to the site HACCP plan.
• Conducting Accident and Near Miss investigations
• Investigating and implementing corrective actions for non-conformances
• Representing the business in Customer review meetings
• Leading continuous Improvement initiatives identified for the Warehouse
• Reviewing Warehouse expenditure against budget to justify areas of overspend and opportunities for improvement
• Full responsibility for delivery of Warehousing P&L across Liverpool Deeside & Grimsby to Budget
• Ensuring training development and succession planning for teams across all sites
• Standardise processes in line with DFDS strategy

About you

We are seeking a dynamic and conscientious individual with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess good organizational skills and lead by example, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business unit. You should be dynamic and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm under pressure. A minimum of 2 years of in-depth experience in all aspects of warehousing is required, along with proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. The role involves effective planning of resources against activity requirements, analysing and managing KPIs, and experience with WMS systems and automated warehousing management. A H.A.C.C.P Level 2 certification or higher is also necessary.
