On Site Pharmacy

The successful candidate will work in a Core Laboratory setting that includes Chemistry, Hematology and Blood Transfusion Laboratory.

Qualifications

Must be licensed with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario.

Recent Hospital experience preferred.

Highly developed technical skills in a core laboratory setting. Phlebotomy skills are an asset.

Experience with a Laboratory Information System: Cerner experience an asset

Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic multi-tasking laboratory

Proficient computer skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proven ability to work well within a team and take leadership role when called upon

Strong customer service focus and job commitment

Demonstrates a positive and professional outlook in a rapidly changing environment

Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards

Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required

Demonstrated ability to maintain a good attendance record and meet the performance standards of the Health Centre

Satisfactory vulnerable person’s sector criminal background check
