This part-time contract role will primarily focus on editing short-form social media content optimized for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, as well as paid media content served on Meta and SEM platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong creative eye with a pulse on social media trends and platform-specific best practices.Areas of Responsibility (Key Result Areas)Key Responsibilities:- Review and organize raw footage; maintain organization of files within Google Drive- Edit engaging short-form videos tailored to each brand’s voice and target audience- Cut product unboxings, tutorials, sneak peeks, influencer content, and promotional clips- Select appropriate music, add motion graphics, captions, and branding elements- Collaborate with the content marketing team to ensure creative alignment- Manage and organize video assets and adhere to delivery timelines- Optimize videos for various social media platforms with a focus on performance and engagementKey Skills & Core CompetenciesFunctional Competency- Proficiency in video editing software such as Premier Pro or similar- Experience with creative elements such as video animations, closed captions, and moreBehavioral Competency- Able to juggle several tasks at once- Very responsive to requests and questions- Collaborative; A team player- Strong communication skillsQualification and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a creative field OR equivalent work experience2-5 years of professional video editing experience with an emphasis on social content
