About the Role: We’re looking for an engaging, and experienced tutor to support young learners in grades 1-2 enrichment. This in-person role involves working 1:1 with a first grade student in the Los Angeles area, focusing on early literacy, numeracy, and overall first grade/second grade enrichment.
Responsibilities:
Deliver fun, age-appropriate, and developmentally aligned lessons in early literacy and math
Track progress and adjust instruction to meet the child's evolving needs
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about progress and goals
Introduce early executive functioning skills, such as task initiation, attention, and simple time management
Teach foundational school behaviors, like raising a hand, sitting for short periods, and transitioning between activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience working with elementary aged children
Familiarity with readiness benchmarks
Patience, creativity, and a nurturing teaching style
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be reliable and punctual
Preferred:
Background in elementary education
Ability to commit to a consistent schedule
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $75.00 per hour
