Job Description
As a 1st Year Apprentice Chef, you will begin your culinary career as part of a professional and supportive kitchen team. In this full-time position based in Canberra, ACT, you will work closely with senior chefs to develop your skills, build strong foundations, and contribute to delivering a high-quality dining experience.
What you'll be doing
Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes under the guidance of senior chefs
Learn and follow kitchen procedures, recipes, and service standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation across all kitchen sections
Support the team during service in a fast-paced environment
Develop fundamental cooking techniques and knife skills
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
