Senior UI Developer
Location: Edmonton, AB (Remote Acceptable)

About the role:
As a Senior UI Developer, you will be a leading engineer in a cross-discipline DevOps team. You will act as an authority on front- end development in your team driving the UI development as well as being part of the cross-team UI Chapter working on joint projects and helping to continually evolve UI development as a whole. You will actively coordinate work with other teams when need be.
Key responsibilities:
You will work in close collaboration with Product owners, UI/UX designers and back-end engineers to design and build beautiful, snappy and usable UIs.
You will use your strong communication skills to work across multiple scrum teams to identify opportunities to create, design and develop UI solutions.
You will actively coordinate work with other teams.
Share ownership and collaborate closely with fellow developers in an autonomous, cross- functional full-stack team.
Coach your fellow team members to grow as developers through code review, pairing, and mentoring.
Participate in the design and implementation of joint JavaScript infrastructure and resources that are core for all our UI development.
Take an active part in research and selection of future tools and frameworks to make up INVIDI’s UI infrastructure.
As a senior developer you will be expected to actively participate in architectural decisions.
You must have:
Fluency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript.
Working knowledge with RESTful API.
Strong expertise in React or Vue.js, including state management, component libraries and advanced framework features.
Hands-on experience with one or more modern front-end JavaScript frameworks
You have experience with modern front-end build tools like package managers, bundlers etc.
Strong understanding of testing best practices and tools.
Version control experience.
You have amazing communication and organizational skills.
A degree in Computer Science or a related area.
6+ years of combined, relevant experience.
It will be very good if you have:
Strong knowledge of responsive design and cross browser/platform compatibility.
Previous experience establishing UI development practices
Experience with Client-side and server-side rendering.
Experience with GraphQL and application monitoring.
DevOps experience (AWS, Kubernetes especially).
Experience working with Docker.
JWT-knowledge (Auth0, Oauth2).
