The IIOT Monitoring IT team seeks a Software Engineer providing strong technical skills and leadership to the continued development of deliverables. In IIoT IT, we bring to life "Factory of Tomorrow" initiatives today through working with varied partners in Manufacturing Engineering, Site Teams, and Ford Production Systems disciplines. These partners are located globally throughout Ford Motor Company.
The role is for a full-stack developer is to provide value-driven IIOT Monitoring solutions.
This is both an application design and development role as well as collaboration with global teams (both internal and external to Ford) to deliver the capabilities of the platform. Candidate should possess a strong passion for technology, innovation, software craftsmanship, leadership and improving the customer experience.
Experience working as a software engineer in an Agile team
Experience with TDD and agile methodologies and practices
Experience with Angular, JavaScript
Experience with Java, Spring Boot
Experience with No-SQL Databases (MongoDB)
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to details
Ability to communicate effectively
Work with product managers, product designers, software engineers, and product owners to release software early and often
Collaborate with internal and external teams on integrations
Participate in product team agile ceremonies
Work with product manager/product designer to define technical features and user stories
Coding and technical configuration
Collaborate with IIoT business partners on innovative Plant Floor Data Management and Processing
Develop and support backend microservice APIs
Develop and support frontend web software
Collaborate closely with architects, anchors and other product teams to devise solutions and break them down into incremental production- ready user stories
Use Test Driven Development (TDD) methodology to realize technical solutions Share support responsibilities
