Job Title: 2D Draftsman
Department: Design/Reports
To: Senior Designer/Project Manager Job
Summary:
A 2D Draftsman is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software. They work closely with architects, engineers, and designers to develop accurate representations of projects, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Interpret architectural and engineering sketches to create precise technical drawings.
• Modify and update existing designs as per client and project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings follow company and industry standards.
• Work collaboratively with architects, designers, and engineers to finalize designs.
• Maintain and organize project documentation and drawings.
• Assist in calculating dimensions, material requirements, and technical details.
• Ensure timely completion of drawings and support project deadlines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Diploma/Degree in Drafting, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other 2D drafting software.
• Strong knowledge of technical drawing principles and building regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.
• Detail-oriented with excellent precision and accuracy.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in interior design or construction drawings.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling software (SketchUp, Revit, etc.) is a plus.
• Understanding of material specifications and measurements.
Work Environment:
• Office-based role with occasional site visits (if required).
• May involve working on multiple projects simultaneously.
