As a Trailer Mechanic, you will:
Inspect, diagnose and repair fleet of intermodal trailers through preventative and scheduled maintenance in shop
Perform general trailer repairs on electrical and/or pneumatic systems, suspension and braking systems
Repair and maintain truck trailer wheels to ensure optimal performance
Conduct annual safety inspections using Drive On program
Master various welding techniques, including oxy-fuel cutting, arc welding, and MIG welding to complete structural repairs
Comply with safe operating procedures and company health and safety policies
Follow standard work order process and procedures, ensuring detailed, accurate and timely records
Build a strong and supportive team network with co-workers, managers and owner operators
Participate in a learning environment, working with apprentices on a regular basis
Maintain a good quality inventory of personal hand tools
Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Other various duties as required
What we need from you:
Hold a 310J license.
Possess a valid driver's license with reliable transportation to work.
Demonstrate excellent time management and communication skills.
Must own a personal set of tools.
