Job Description
The company is seeking bright and illustrious 3D Artist to work on augmented and virtual reality projects. As a 3D Modelling Artist, you will be responsible for
• Familiarity with video game product development including, but not limited to workflow, tools, lighting, high and low poly modeling, texture painting, material setup, character skinning, surface sampling, mapping techniques, UV layout, in-game animation, character rigging and engine parameters/optimizations desirable
• Portfolio of realistic, highly detailed, 3D character models, with highly realistic textures (skin, hair, worn fabric/accessories, etc.), accurate anatomy,detailed clothing, etc.
• Portfolio should show quality, taste, and ability to hit a photorealistic/believable look.
• Mastery of standard art packages such as Maya, Photoshop, brush and Substance Designer.
• Strong understanding of scale, proportion, human anatomy and surface properties.
You will be required to work with developers and collaborate to create fresh and realistic art. You must be well-versed with industry-standard 3D modelling programs and tools. Good spatial skills and a well-honed sense of colour and design are necessary for this job role.
Skills Required :
• Familiarity with the VFX pipeline or the game development pipeline (depending on the chosen field)
• Strong knowledge of geography, architecture and the laws of physics
• Training and hands-on experience in 3D modelling and sculpting
• High-level drawing skills
• Familiarity with 3D animation
• Skilled in recreating photorealistic landscapes
• Solid understanding of visual language - texture, colour, dimension, scale, perspective, lighting, shade, composition, depth of field, proportion, etc
• Good communication skills, ability to work with creative and technical departments
• Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent proficiency in tools like Maya, Blender, Substance Painter, Unity, etc
