Supply Chain Logistics Analyst - REMOTE - San Diego Distribution Company
This role involves analyzing and improving logistics processes for a large food distribution corporation based in San Diego, CA.
About the Job
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain analysis and management, with experience working in a high-paced logistics environment. They will be responsible for managing 3PL services, overseeing order fulfillment and shipping, coordinating freight purchases, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Manage 3PL services to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
Oversee order fulfillment and shipping activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
Coordinate freight purchases and negotiate rates with vendors.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations related to transportation and distribution.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the logistics and distribution functions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in a similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel.
SAP experience highly preferred.
This is a remote/hybrid position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
