Join us as a 5G gNodeB Testing and Automation Developer on our 5G Software Quality Engineering team. Our 5G Software Quality Engineering team ensures that our next-generation software is of the highest quality. We conduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that our software meets or exceeds end-user requirements. We debug software products, oversee the development of test plans, ensure system tests are documented, analyze the results, provide feedback to developers and make sure that all problems are resolved. We also select testing specifications for new products and ensure testing procedures comply with industry-specific standards.
What you’ll achieve:
As a 5G gNodeB Testing and Automation Developer you will be a key member of a brand new, built from the ground up, high powered Bangalore R&D team. The team works as part of our global 5G R&D organization designing, developing, and implementing a technology new to Dell for addressing the demands of the 5G Radio subsystem for operators, and helping our customers exploit this significant market evolution. The candidate for this role will be experienced in test and verification in a 4G/5G wireless product development organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Work as a key member of an agile scrum team, providing guidance on software test best practices for features at the unit, component, and end-to-end test levels.
• Develop and help execute test plans validating the functionality, quality, and performance of the 5G product.
• Collaborate with other members of the scrum to achieve the highest possible level of automation for all test cases in support of a stable and efficient continuous integration framework.
• Mentor other test and automation developers helping them to contribute their best work.
Essential Requirements
• Experience in a 4G/5G verification team or performing testing activities at an equivalent level in a product development environment.
• Organized, goal-oriented, self-starter with a team-focused mentality.
• Experience automating using Python and Robot or similar automation frameworks
• Creating test environment in lab
Desirable Requirements
• 5-8 years of experience in wireless telecommunications testing for 4G/5G product development projects or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
