Job Description
As a Collections and Delivery Driver for DPD, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely and efficient collection and delivery of parcels, while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
• Executing daily collection and delivery schedules with precision, typically involving 50-60 stops within the designated area.
• Representing DPD as the primary point of contact for customers during parcel collection and delivery, upholding the company's reputation for excellence.
• Adhering strictly to time-sensitive schedules to meet critical delivery deadlines.
• Assisting with the loading of parcels at the depot at the commencement of each shift.
• Utilizing provided equipment, such as the sack barrow/hand truck, to safely handle and transport heavier items.
• Maintaining a valid C1 licence, Driver Qualification Card (DQC), and Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) at all times.
• Demonstrating professionalism and courtesy in all customer interactions, recognizing that each encounter significantly impacts the company's image.
• Efficiently managing time and resources to optimize route performance and parcel handling.
• Promptly addressing any challenges or obstacles encountered during the course of duty, ensuring minimal disruption to the delivery schedule.
• Consistently upholding DPD's standards for safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction in all aspects of the role.
This position demands a high level of responsibility and attention to detail, as your performance directly influences the efficiency of our logistics network and the satisfaction of our customers.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
• A valid 7.5T (C1) licence, Driver Qualification Card (DQC), and Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) accreditation. These certifications are non-negotiable and must be maintained throughout employment.
