Required
What You'll Bring:
• 4+ years with data ingestion, analysis, integration and design
• 3+ years hands on experience developing and designing ETL solutions with Ab Initio
• Ability to handle large volumes and variations of data, analyze, investigate and provide insight
• Overview
• Experience working in Linux environment
• Sound knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience in scripting languages, e.g. KornShell, Bash, Python, etc.
• Experience working with Business Intelligence visualization tools such as TIBCO Spotfire Analyst, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau etc.
• Solid computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures and programming skills)
• Strong analytical skills with inquisitive and tenacious nature
• Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with business and technical teams as well as independently
• Initiative and ability to handle multiple priorities with excellent time management skills
• Change Mobilization: Responsible for working with key business and technical stakeholders in order to drive forward changes that realize business and technical strategy. This will involve both high-level strategic thinking and more detailed technical and data analysis.
Specific Technical Skills
Experience with data warehousing data architecture
Experience with designing and implementing generic ETL streams that perform common data manipulations tasks on data sourced from variety of sources in different formats.
Demonstrable experience of at least two of the following database technologies. An understanding of:
RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL,etc)
Skilled with using ETL Platforms e.g. Ab Initio, Informatica, SSIS
X years Linux scripting
Experience in SQL / PLSQL query development including schema definition, stored procedure / function development, and job stream creation, fine tuning database and query optimization.
Experience of cloud platforms/architectures (e.g. Amazon, Azure, IaaS, PaaS etc)
Python
Experience of working in a heavily regulated environment (e.g. Finance, Consumer Data).
Experience of working in an agile environment (e.g. Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework).
Experience of working in an environment with a strong Data Governance / Data Stewarding practice.
