Job Title: ABAP Developer (2 to 5 years of experience)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated ABAP Developer with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ABAP Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining SAP applications using ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) language. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our business requirements.
Responsibilities:
ABAP Development: Design, code, test, and debug SAP applications using ABAP programming language and related tools. Develop custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and workflows to support various business processes.
Requirement Analysis: Work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and end-users to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
SAP Customization: Customize existing SAP modules to enhance their functionality and accommodate specific business needs. Ensure that all customizations align with SAP best practices and standards.
Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and apply performance tuning techniques to improve the overall system performance of SAP applications.
Debugging and Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve issues related to ABAP programs, data inconsistencies, and system errors. Provide timely support to resolve production issues.
Integration: Integrate SAP applications with other systems using various integration technologies and tools.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including program specifications, user manuals, and system documentation.
Unit Testing: Conduct unit testing to ensure the quality and accuracy of developed programs.
System Upgrades and Maintenance: Support system upgrades and maintenance activities, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions to business operations.
Collaboration: Collaborate with functional consultants, technical teams, and project managers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in ABAP development, including custom development, report development, and performance optimization.
SAP Knowledge: Solid understanding of SAP modules and related technologies, such as SAP Fiori, SAP HANA, and SAP NetWeaver.
Programming Skills: Proficiency in ABAP programming language, Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP), and relevant development tools (e.g., ABAP Workbench, Eclipse, or SAP GUI).
Integration Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP integration techniques, including IDOCs, BAPIs, and RFCs.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and provide effective solutions.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting team members.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business requirements.
Certification: SAP ABAP certification is a plus, but not mandatory.
