Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with in-depth knowledge of Core Data Services (CDS), OData Services, and Restful ABAP Programming (RAP) for a contract role. The ideal candidate will work closely with functional teams, developers, and stakeholders to design, develop, and enhance SAP applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, enhance, and maintain custom ABAP programs, CDS views, and OData services.
Design and implement applications using SAP Restful Application Programming Model (RAP) for S/4HANA and SAP Fiori.
Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of CDS and OData services with front-end applications.
Debug and troubleshoot complex ABAP programs and resolve performance issues.
Design and develop database objects using CDS views and optimize them for performance and scalability.
Support data modeling activities, including complex queries and joins using CDS and ABAP.
Ensure that all development activities are in line with the best practices of ABAP, RAP, CDS, and OData.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging in the development and implementation phases.
Write technical documentation and provide technical support post-deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide end-to-end solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Expertise in Core Data Services (CDS), including view creation, annotations, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining OData services for integration purposes.
• Strong experience with Restful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) in S/4HANA environment.
• Hands-on experience with ABAP on HANA, SAP Fiori elements, and modern ABAP syntax (7.4 and above).
• Familiarity with SAP extension techniques using BAdIs, user exits, and enhancement frameworks.
• Ability to design and optimize performance for both back-end and front-end SAP solutions.
• Knowledge of SAP UI5 and Fiori development is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
