You will also engage individuals, families, and communities in culturally informed strategies aimed at preventing ill health. A key part of your work will be advocating for Aboriginal consumers at risk, supporting families, and assisting mental health clinicians to deliver culturally appropriate, safe, and effective care.

Your strength in community engagement, advocacy, and collaborative practice supports consumers on their recovery journey. Essential requirements of this role include:

effective verbal and written communication
strong advocacy, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution abilities
ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
experience working with Aboriginal consumers, families, and communities
experience partnering with both Aboriginal and mainstream services to improve access
experience contributing to programs addressing health, wellbeing, and social issues
