About the Position

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional service and supporting student success? We are seeking an Academic Credit Assessment Officer to join our team and play a vital role in helping students progress through their studies and gain recognition for prior learning.


Reporting to and working closely with the Manager, Academic Credit, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently assessing academic credit applications, including those for outgoing exchange and cross-institutional study. You will prepare detailed study plans, process academic credit applications using systems such as UAC Advance and Student One, and ensure all records are maintained with the highest level of accuracy and compliance.


Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with faculties, admissions, and other internal teams to streamline processes, resolve queries promptly, and provide clear, timely advice to students and stakeholders. Your ability to build strong relationships and deliver outstanding service will directly enhance the student experience and contribute to the University’s commitment to quality and compliance.

About the person
You are someone who thrives on accuracy, collaboration, and delivering exceptional service. With experience in academic administration or a policy-driven environment, you understand the importance of compliance and attention to detail in supporting student success.


You will thrive in this role if you have:

A relevant degree and/or demonstrated experience in academic administration, preferably within a university setting
The ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements with sound judgment
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to building positive relationships and delivering outstanding service
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, propose solutions, and contribute to process improvements
Confidence working with technology, including student management systems, databases, and Microsoft Office, with a willingness to learn new systems

Familiarity with academic credit assessment, university admissions, and systems such as UAC Advance, StudyLink, Student One, or Microsoft Dynamics CRM will be highly regarded.


Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $83,210.75 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
