Australian Federation College (AFC) is a quality Registered Training Organisation (RTO Code: 45616, CRICOS Provider No.: 03854G) with campuses in Melbourne CBD and Launceston, Tasmania. We are seeking an experienced VET Academic Lead to support academic quality, compliance, and training delivery across our VET operations.

AFC also delivers a small and developing ELICOS program. Candidates who hold appropriate ELICOS qualifications and experience may be considered to provide academic oversight of ELICOS delivery at its current scale.

This is a full-time, Melbourne-based role.

Key Responsibilities

Lead VET academic operations in line with the SRTOs 2025, ESOS Act, Legislation and the National Code.
Ensure quality training, assessment, validation, and continuous improvement.
Support and manage trainers and assessors.
Manage, monitor and report student progress, assessment outcomes, and compliance.
Effectively coordinate with AFC administrations, admissions, accounts, academic and compliance teams.
Maintain awareness and compliance of ASQA, ESOS, and National Code requirements.
Where applicable, provide academic oversight of ELICOS delivery in line with the ELICOS Standards.
Essential Requirements

Demonstrated experience in a senior academic leadership role within the Australian VET sector.
Strong knowledge of RTO compliance, training package requirements and RTO operations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Legal Australian work rights.
Desirable

ELICOS-relevant qualifications and/or experience (e.g. TESOL, Applied Linguistics).
Experience working with international students and the ESOS framework.
