We're on the lookout for an inspiring Academic Staff Member to teach health and wellbeing certificate courses via our cutting-edge online platform. You'll be part of a collaborative, experienced team of subject matter experts and practitioners, all committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences.
Location: Lower Hutt campus with hybrid work options available.
As an Academic Staff Member, you will:
Teach & Inspire: Deliver engaging online courses using best-practice digital tools and interactive strategies.
Shape Curriculum: Provide expert feedback on course content and assessments to keep them relevant and high-quality.
Support Learners: Offer targeted academic support to help ākonga thrive.
Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with fellow educators, mentors, and markers in a supportive team environment.
Drive Improvement: Share insights with Programme Delivery Managers to continuously enhance our programmes.
Research & Reflect: Contribute to research that informs your teaching practice.

Ngā pūkenga mo te tūnga | What you will bring to the role
A background in the Health and Wellbeing sector preferably with experience as a healthcare assistant or support worker
A relevant qualification at level 4 or above
Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, culturally responsive instruction and support diverse learner needs
A passion for empowering learners and making education accessible
Knowledge of Mātauranga Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and some Te Reo Māori proficiency
Strong communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills
Tech-savvy mindset and willingness to embrace new tools
A team-first attitude and collaborative spirit
