Electrician
We have multiple roles, both fulltime and part time options available, to teach on various courses in the Electrical Trades:
Academic Staff – Electrical Pre-Trades (Salaried)
Electrical Tutor Waikato Trades Academy
Electrical Professional Programmes (Hourly Paid)
Electrical Professional Programmes (Hourly Paid)

To be successful in these roles you will have:
A relevant trade qualification at Level 4 or higher as an Electrician
Registered electrician with a current practicing licence the NZ Electrical Workers Registration Board
A minimum of 5 years practical industry experience in the Electrical industry
A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students are supported in their educational journey.
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Passion and energy for teaching and training others
A full class 1 NZ driver’s licence
Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident or hold a current NZ work permit
Preferred:
Unit standard 4098 and the NZ certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching Practice (or be willing to complete these courses)
Working Conditions:
Flexible scheduling, including evening or weekend availability if required.
Hybrid or in-person work environment based on institutional needs.
