Security Systems Technician / Installer
Access Control • Entry-Phone • Intercom • CCTV
VDC-Vandelta Communication Systems Ltd. is seeking 1–2 experienced Security Systems Technicians to join our growing team in the Lower Mainland, BC.
We are looking for motivated technicians with strong technical abilities, troubleshooting skills, and excellent customer communication. If you have experience with access control, CCTV, and intercom systems, we would like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Program, install, and troubleshoot security systems including access control, CCTV, and intercom systems
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with security system components
Perform basic electrical work including EMT conduit installation and electric strike fitting/cutting
Read and interpret installation manuals, technical documentation, and wiring diagrams
Follow company procedures and applicable code standards
Assist with basic estimating including labour hours and parts required for upgrades or service work
Identify system upgrade opportunities for clients
Provide basic client training on installed systems
Qualifications
2–5 years experience as a security systems technician
Strong troubleshooting ability and technical intuition
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Strong computer and networking fundamentals
Valid driver’s license
Must live in the Lower Mainland
Asset Experience
Experience with the following systems is considered a strong asset:
Access Control:
Keyscan, ICT, CDVI, Kantech
Intercom / Entry Systems:
Mircom, Enterphone, SES TEC
CCTV / Video Surveillance:
Hikvision, Hanwha, Bosch, Panasonic, GeoVision
Compensation & Benefits
$32.00 – $40.00+ per hour (based on experience)
