What’s The Role

The Housing Services Directorate is looking to appoint an Accommodation Supply Manager post to effectively manage the Accommodation Supply team. This team is responsible for the procurement and management of temporary and private rented accommodation to be used in discharge of the Council’s homelessness duty. Successful management of this service area will ensure we deliver a high quality, customer-focused approach by ensuring the team builds relationships with providers to increase accommodation supply, cultivating a strong performance culture and ensuring property standards are met.

You will also ensure that the team proactively contributes to the council’s action plan to reduce the number of households in temporary accommodation.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Supply Manager that has track record of delivering accommodation supply in a challenging housing market and good knowledge of relevant housing legislation such as the Housing Act 1+85 with a strong understanding of property standards.

You will display dynamic leadership in order to motivate and lead a team made up of a Surveyor, Senior Negotiator and x5 Negotiators.

Location

The job is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, London, SE6 4RU, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Salary

£53,634 - £55,710 per annum (P05)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
