We’re looking for strategic and passionate Account Executives to join our Canberra-based Public Sector team, leading the charge in bringing the next generation of technology solutions to federal government agencies across Australia.

As an Account Executive, you will engage with stakeholders across federal agencies, including Defence, Home Affairs, Health, Justice, Finance, and other government departments and statutory bodies. You’ll work across Salesforce’s ecosystem, collaborating with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions that drive customer success and organisational impact.

As trusted advisors, you will own the full sales cycle, guiding agencies in their digital transformation journeys. You'll help them leverage Salesforce solutions to enhance efficiency, modernise processes, and deliver better outcomes for citizens. This involves understanding the public sector landscape, navigating procurement cycles, and showing the strategic value of integrating Salesforce technology stack.

About the role

Drive adoption of Salesforce solutions across federal public sector agencies, supporting digital transformation initiatives.

Prospect and develop new business opportunities, identifying and engaging potential clients across government departments and statutory bodies.

Manage complex sales cycles from prospecting to close, with a consultative and value-based approach.

Partner with Solution Engineers, Industry Specialists, Customer Success teams, and strategic partners to co-create tailored solutions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across federal agencies.

Understand policy, compliance, procurement, and security requirements relevant to the public sector.

Stay ahead of market trends, particularly how technology, AI, and automation are shaping public sector operations.

Represent Salesforce at industry events, roundtables, and stakeholder engagements.

About You

Proven success as an Account Executive or similar sales role in SaaS, enterprise technology, or complex B2B environments.

Experience selling into the public sector and/or strong knowledge of government processes and buying cycles.

Recognised as a trusted advisor with the ability to influence and educate stakeholders at all levels.

Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional collaboration with solution engineers, product teams, customer success, and partners.

Strong business acumen and ability to engage stakeholders across IT, operations, and executive levels.

A collaborative, high-integrity approach to sales with a team-driven mindset.
