Job Description
Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain and update accurate financial records including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Ensure all transactions related to export sales and purchases are recorded correctly.
Export Documentation and Accounting:
Process and verify international invoices, shipping documents, and customs paperwork.
Reconcile export transactions and manage foreign exchange transactions.
Tax Compliance:
TDS (Tax Deducted at Source):
Calculate and deduct TDS on applicable payments in compliance with Indian tax laws.
Prepare and file TDS returns, and ensure timely payment of TDS.
Maintain TDS records and issue TDS certificates to vendors.
GST (Goods and Services Tax):
Ensure proper GST compliance by correctly applying GST rates and rules to transactions.
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.), and ensure timely payment of GST.
Maintain GST records, including input tax credit documentation and reconciliation.
Reconciliation:
Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Resolve discrepancies and ensure that all accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
Provide financial insights and support to management for decision-making.
Compliance and Auditing:
Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Expense Management:
Monitor and control company expenses, ensuring they are within budget and properly recorded.
Review and approve expense reports and reimbursements.
System Management:
Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to enhance financial operations.
Assist in implementing system improvements and updates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
years of accounting experience, preferably in an export company or with a focus on international trade.
In-depth knowledge of TDS and GST regulations, including practical experience in compliance and reporting.
Proficiency Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with export documentation and international trade practices.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification.
Experience with ERP systems and advanced accounting software.
Knowledge of international accounting standards and practices.
