About the Role:
The Accounts Head will be responsible for overseeing the complete accounting function of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency . This role requires strong domain expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to drive financial discipline in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the end-to-end accounting function (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, etc.).
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books of accounts .
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, Income Tax, and other applicable laws.
• Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, and budgets for management.
• Manage relationships with auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies .
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund management .
• Establish and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and processes .
• Provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making in collaboration with leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts & finance team .
Key Requirements:
• 8+ years of proven experience in accounts and finance, preferably in the FMCG/consumer goods sector .
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, statutory compliances, and financial reporting .
• Proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel, and financial systems .
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment .
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• CA / CMA qualification preferred ; Commerce graduates with relevant experience may also apply.
