Full job description

What we are looking for:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic accountant with experience in an accountancy practice.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years experience working within practice and have a professional and a ‘can do’ attitude. Qualifications such as AAT, ACCA or ACA are advantageous but not essential, provided the experience is there. Audit experience is preferable, together with knowledge of charities and not-for-profit organisations.

The role is full time hours (37.5) – Monday – Friday, although hours are negotiable.

Responsibilities will include:

Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

Assisting on audits

Preparation of corporation tax computations

Preparation of management accounts for clients and their stakeholders

Production of reports and analysis in preparation for client meetings

Assisting with the outsourcing team, reviewing VAT returns and record keeping

Working with several different software packages such as Xero, Quickbooks, Sage and Caseware

Dealing with day to day client queries

Maintaining a high level of accounting standards
