Job Description:
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and preparing financial reports for an organization. They ensure compliance with financial regulations, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and provide valuable insights for financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and payroll records.
• Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts, monitor actual results, and identify variances.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws by preparing and submitting tax returns.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Conduct financial analysis to assess the organization's financial health and identify areas for improvement.
• Process employee payroll and handle payroll-related inquiries or issues.
• Utilize accounting software and systems to perform accounting functions efficiently.
• Adhere to accounting principles, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
