Responsibilities
The work schedule primarily includes the below
• Perform customer account reconciliations; gather, prepare, and maintain appropriate log of retailer rebate claims including adequate documentation to support validation of claims made
• Possess good understanding of the business and channel in order to assess risk and reasonability of the claimed amounts
• Upload claims data into a related database for payment and prepare manual invoices
• Upload related contracts stored in business unit specific databases to centralized database
• Work closely with Business Partners (Corporate Accounting, Sales Marketing team, Supply Chain, Credit and Collections team, etc.) and external partners to research and resolve claim discrepancies. Initiate dispute resolution of invalid claims for timely resolution to avoid bad debt
• Prepare weekly and quarterly dashboard on status and aging of claims
• Participate in cross training and maintain flexibility to assist in other areas of accounting
• Preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and flux commentary as part of accounting close process, consistent with GAAP and company policies
• Continually assess and design desktop procedures for all areas of responsibilities. Ensure that these work-flows are designed to maximize internal controls and efficiency
• Suggest proposed solutions and improvements; work with cross-functional teams to design and drive implementation that can enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Adherence to monthly KPI & SLA
