Position Overview
Centra Administrations Corp is seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy. You will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Record-Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts
• Monitor actual performance against budget and report variances
• Compliance and Auditing:
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Tax Preparation:
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations
• Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement best practices
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations
• Advisory:
• Provide financial advice and support to management and other stakeholders
• Assist in strategic financial planning and decision-making
Qualifications
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or other relevant certifications are a plus
• Experience:
• Minimum of 1 yearof experience in accounting or a related role
• Experience with accounting software and financial reporting tools
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Attributes:
• High level of integrity and ethical standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
