Responsibilities
The staff accountant is responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting
Perform monthly reconciliation of sub-ledger detail to assigned general ledger accounts
Conduct daily cash reconciliations and monthly bank reconciliations
Analyze financial information and provide results to upper management
Assist with monthly consolidated financial statements preparation
Handle month-end closing process duties
Compile and analyze financial information to support management decisions
Perform daily and monthly cash forecasting, debt management, and budgeting
Maintain compliance with GAAP, company policies, and procedures
Conduct financial analysis projects and communicate results to management
Perform balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
Create and document standardized procedures for daily and monthly responsibilities
Ad hoc duties as assigned
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for multiple entities
Work with independent auditors during annual financial statement audit
Post accounts to the General Ledger (Accounts Receivable, Cash Receipts, Accounts Payable, Cash Disbursements, Payroll)
Job description
Duration: 6+ Months
