Accountant (Full-Time)
Responsibilities:
Preparing financial statements, tax returns, FBT, BAS/IAS for individuals, Companies, Partnerships, Trusts and SMSF (Self-Managed Super Fund)
Conducting financial investigations
Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting reports and finance procedures
Providing tax planning and business advisory services to clients, including analysing financial and non-financial information to assist clients to monitor performance
Developing long term relationships with clients and seek to further enhance these relationships through quality product delivery in a timely manner
Recognizing potential additional work opportunities among current clients and actively promoting the firm and its services to both clients and associates
Involving in team training and mentoring with responsibilities to help grow the team’s knowledge and contribute to the business as a whole
Preparing and lodge Payroll Tax for clients in different states
Communicating with ATO, ASIC and related stakeholders on behalf of clients to resolve any issues
Expert utilization of a range of accounting software including Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Reckon, Handisoft and Thomson Reuters Software assistant
Examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience within Business Services, with strong technical and analytical skills
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or similar and working towards CA/CPA qualifications
A solid understanding of accounting standards and reporting compliances
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Expertise using accounting software including APS, MYOB and cloud-based tools e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Reckon, Handisoft and Thomson Reuters Software assistant
Have work rights, Australian Citizenship or hold Permanent Residency status in Australia
Proficiency in Bengali Language will be a bonus but not mandatory
