Accountant

Job Description:

As an accountant, you will play a vital role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the company's financial health. You will work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, and contribute to strategic financial decision-making.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

2. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and summaries for management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.

3. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, including GST preparation of tax returns and facilitating tax audits when necessary.

4. Audit Support: Assist in annual audits by providing documentation, explanations, and reconciliations as requested.

5. Variance Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to management.

6. Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile financial accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.

7. Expense Tracking: Monitor and analyze expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain efficient financial operations.

8. Financial Software: Utilize financial software and tools to streamline financial processes and ensure data accuracy. (Strong Knowledge of Tally)

+. Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated on accounting standards and financial regulations, ensuring the company's financial practices remain compliant.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA certification is a plus).

2. Proven experience as an accountant or related financial position.

3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

4. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

6. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

8. High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
