The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who brings strong technical skills, high integrity, and a desire to work with purpose. You will play a key role in our day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate, timely reporting for our leadership team and Board of Directors.

What You Will Do

Record daily AP/AR and revenue activity; issue non-agency and agency invoices
Perform weekly payroll-support activities
Prepare and post monthly general ledger journal entries; reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
Support preparation of monthly financial reports for senior leadership and the Board
Assist with the annual independent audit, physical inventory count, and Form 990 preparation
Contribute to financial reporting: General Ledger, Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, and Budgeting
Take on special projects and ad hoc tasks as required

What We Are Looking For

Candidate must be currently based in a Tier-1 city (mandatory)
B.Com / M.Com / MBA in Finance or related field
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, merge functions
Experience with QuickBooks Web or similar general ledger software
Solid grounding in accounting concepts, GAAP principles, and financial reporting

Nice to Have

Prior experience in nonprofit finance or familiarity with Form 990
Experience supporting audit processes and payroll administration
