Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing support for various accounting functions. This role requires proficiency in accounting software, preferably sage, and a solid understanding of accounting principles to maintain the integrity of our financial data.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.

Perform reconciliations to ensure consistency and prepare internal reporting packages to support leaderships decision-making.

Prepare year-end working papers, manage audit documentation, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.

Oversee daily cash management activities to optimize liquidity and operational efficiency.

Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information for reporting purposes.

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning.

Support leadership with special projects and financial analysis as required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

2+ years of experience as an Accountant or a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Strong knowledge of IFRS

Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Sage

Experience with bank reconciliations, financial auditing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data.

Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and other departments.

Highly collaborative, eager to learn from colleagues, and comfortable contributing in a startup-style setting.
