Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various accounting practices, including corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, and governmental accounting. This role requires proficiency in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and the ability to interpret complex financial data. The Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring adherence to GAAP standards.
Duties
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
Perform journal entries and maintain general ledger accounting records.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis.
Conduct financial report writing and interpretation for management review.
Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and other relevant financial regulations.
Provide mentoring support to junior accounting staff as needed.
Collaborate on tax-related matters, including tax return preparation and filing.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft for efficient financial management.
Engage in auditing processes to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Analyze financial data to support decision-making processes within the organization.
Experience
Candidates should have a robust understanding of financial concepts and practices. Preferred qualifications include experience with:
Public accounting or private equity environments.
Financial services with a focus on securities law or wills, trusts & estate law.
Technical accounting skills including accrual accounting and double-entry bookkeeping.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for advanced financial analysis.
Familiarity with budgeting techniques and forecasting methodologies. A strong acumen for financial management is essential for success in this role. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical skills along with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
