Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting principles, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, payroll and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with established guidelines.

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.

Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.

Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or Xero for efficient financial management.

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into variances.

Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business objectives.

Experience

Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role is essential.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in financial accounting and reporting.

Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or Xero is highly desirable.

Experience in financial services or related fields will be an advantage.

Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.

Pay: £22.50-£25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
