Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our regional office. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and smooth accounting operations. The primary responsibilities include performing general ledger reconciliations, supporting accounts payable activities, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries.
Perform assigned account reconciliations.
Reconcile all firm bank accounts.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including annual audit support.
Administer and reconcile the corporate credit card program.
Post cost disbursements for travel, filings, and related charges.
Prepare due diligence letters and annual filings for unclaimed property.
Assist with attorney bar renewals and compliance filings.
File monthly use tax reports.
Track and account for corporate sporting/concert ticket usage.
Upload and process vendor invoices.
Review and reconcile vendor statements.
Provide backup coverage for Accounts Payable team.
Prepare annual 1099 filings.
Assist with insurance renewals.
Support ad-hoc projects and other assigned duties.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; candidates with relevant higher education or equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
2–4 years of accounting or financial analyst experience required.
Special Requirements:
None required, though CPA coursework or certification is considered a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Additional Desired Characteristics:
Experience with financial audits and 1099 filings.
Familiarity with corporate compliance processes (tax filings, reporting, renewals).
Prior law firm or professional services industry accounting experience is beneficial.
Work Environment:
Based in a regional office with standard business hours.
Minimal travel expected.
Some flexibility may be available depending on project and reporting deadlines.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
