About the Business
We are a startup business currently structured as a female-led partnership. We have 4 existing partners and are now seeking a 5th partner. An experienced female Accountant, Registered Tax Agent, or Registered Auditor to join us at a foundational stage of the business.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants more than a service-based role and is interested in long-term ownership, collaboration, and business growth.
The Opportunity
Equal equity stake in the business for the successful candidate
Join as a partner, not just a contractor
Active involvement in decision-making, strategy, and business direction
Strong focus on open communication, collaboration, and shared growth
Opportunity to contribute to the rebuilding and growth of the company alongside existing partners
Responsibilities
Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and tax returns
Manage GST, PAYG, and superannuation obligations
Provide tax planning and compliance advice
Review and reconcile financial records
Oversee or support bookkeeping (Xero preferred)
Liaise with the ATO
Contribute to financial strategy suitable for a startup and growing business
Requirements
Female Accountant, Registered Tax Agent, or Registered Auditor
Experience with Australian startups or small businesses
Strong understanding of ATO compliance and tax law
Experience with accounting software (Xero preferred)
Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
Interest in business ownership and long-term growth
