```Job Overview```
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation, double entry bookkeeping, accounts receivable, and ensuring compliance with SOX regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accrual accounting, budgeting, and GAAP principles. Experience with LIHTC and accounting software is also preferred.
```Responsibilities```
- Prepare, review, file tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws. We mostly prepare LLC, S-Corps and individual returns.
- Prepare, review, file tax returns for corporations, partnerships, C-Corps, and non-profits.
- Handle tax returns with precision and attention to detail
- Communicate with clients, addressing their inquiries, and providing expert guidance.
- Prepare, review, and file any IRS forms such as IRS form 2553, or tax deadline extensions forms, or any other IRS forms for clients.
- Collaborate with the team to streamline tax preparation processes and enhance efficiency.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and up-to-date services.
- Data entry with Gusto Payroll system
- Coordinate with Kansas Department of Revenue, withholding tax accounts setup, and obtain staff PTIN, CCAF, and FEIN numbers for tax filing setup in the chosen tax platform or software.
- Help select accounting software onsite only
- Help manage all system on site only.
- Access to client data is prohibited off site and remote work is not allowed.
- Do any other office related tasks including tasks such as office cleaning.
- Advisory and business consulting communications ability preferred
- Protect client information following company Privacy processes, policies, and procedures
```Qualifications```
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Enrolled Agent or CPA
- CPA certification is preferred
- Enrolled Agent certification acceptable
- Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles and GAAP guidelines
- Experience with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) is a plus
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $51,314.33 - $61,797.90 per year
