Location: Sydney | Gadigal Land

Contract: Full-Time | Ongoing

Type: Hybrid Working - Office + Remote/Work from Home

Salary: $85,000 to 90,000 per annum + Super

Benefits: Salary packaging up to $18,550

About the team

The YWCA Group Finance Team is responsible for supporting accounting functions across the organisation. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will join a team of dedicated accountants contributing to financial operations and reporting, in an organisation committed to creating a future where gender equality is a reality.

About the role

As an Accountant - locally known as Accountant – Service Delivery - you will manage financial records for YWCA-funded programs and partner closely with Service Delivery teams to support operational and financial outcomes.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Partner with Service Delivery Leaders to align financial support with program needs.

Support program reporting, budgeting, and acquittals in line with funding requirements.

Manage grant accounting, ensuring accurate tracking of receipts and expenditures.

Deliver financial analysis to link program performance with contractual outcomes.

Lead budgeting and forecasting to optimise fund utilisation.

Provide monthly financial reporting using tools like Excel and Power BI.

About You

The ideal applicant will have:

CA or CPA qualified (or working towards), with a relevant tertiary degree in commerce or business.

Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the not-for-profit or community services sector.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, negotiation, and the ability to influence and guide stakeholders.

Collaborative and self-motivated, with a focus on results, continuous improvement, and empowering others.

Demonstrated commitment to gender equality and social change, with alignment to YWCA’s mission and values.
