About Us
Vehla (https://vehla.com/) is a successful manufacturer of eyewear and activewear. Due to our rapid expansion over the years, Vehla is looking for a qualified and experienced in house Accountant to join our business located in Sydney, who will perform the following duties and responsibilities:
· Providing general financial advice to the Managing Directors and Shareholders
· Develop and maintain effective communication and positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
· Reviewing the bank reconciliations. Reporting on the cash and loan balances to the head office weekly and monthly
· Managing the cash-flow, planning for the loan drawdowns and term deposit placements when it is necessary
· Reviewing the payroll processing payments. Preparing payroll reports; and lodging the company payroll tax reports to State Revenue Office monthly
· Preparing Superannuation Contributions reports on a monthly basis
· Performing month end procedures including preparing all the accruals and prepayments, depreciation and amortization journal entries
· Preparing the monthly financial reports and the Business Activity Statement worksheet together with all supporting data to send to the tax agent for reviewing and lodging the BAS report to ATO portal
· Analysing operating costs and expenditure and escalating to the senior management for improvement
· Liaising with the auditors to supply reports and documents for the audit
· Completing data base backups to secure financial information
· Maintaining internal control systems to ensure effective financial compliance and prevention of fraud
· Assisting the Accounts and Admin Manager in training junior accounts staff and reviewing their performance for improvements
· Providing support to the Accounts and Admin Manager in preparing annual budgets.
· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending continuing professional development workshops, seminars, reviewing professional publications and participating in workplace training
· Other accounting duties and/or responsibilities as required from time to time
Personal Requirements
· At least a Bachelor in Accounting or equivalent and/or 5 years of relevant work experience in similar roles
· Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and personal presentation
· Ability to handle multiple priorities and complete tasks in accordance with stated deadlines.

Salary: $90,000pa + superannuation
Working hours: approx 38 hours per week
Location: Sydney

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
