Description
Duties and tasks of the Financial Accountant:
• Lead and support VAT, CIS and Tax advice across the group including administering the groups returns
• Interrogate and extract data from the accounting system and produce accurate financial and statistical information
• Responsible for the submission of all group tax returns whilst maintaining strong reporting controls
• Support in the implementation and maintenance of process note writing and updating internal procedures
• Leading and training of a small finance team
• Submissions of the Groups annual tax returns and liaise with advisors across the business
Profile
Experience Required
• Experience in producing VAT returns for large complex organisation
• Exposure to standard partial exemption methods with CIS
• Knowledge / exposure of VAT and CIS reverse charges in construction
• Ability to interrogate, analyse and extract data to produce statistical information
• Working within the property, construction or housing industry is highly desirable
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to manipulate large volumes of data
