Key Responsibilities:
• Perform accurate and timely transfer of cash between operational and borrower individually held bank accounts
• Prepare and wire funds to 3rd party investors according to contractual obligations
• Review, reconcile and prepare weekly and monthly correspondent reports and remit fees as per contractual obligations
• Cashiering: moving funds between bank accounts
• Reconciliation: perform regular reconciliation between bank and system balances
• Prepare and peer review of wires and cheques for miscellaneous payments
• Knowledge of commercial tax processes and maintenance of Reserve Accounts
• Assists with tax escrow loans and process payments.
• Investigation of past due property taxes, contact borrowers/tax office for proof of payment
• Perform quality assurance review and sign off for major tax changes and investigations
• Review daily work of other team members for accuracy and completeness
• Work within existing procedures and processes regarding cash handling and adhere to established SOX controls
• Aid other team members and management team as required
• Assume tasks or special projects as required or as directed by management
• Assist in system upgrade/change
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• minimum 6 months’ work experience in banking industry in accounting (cash payments, excel sheets, wires)
• Proficient in Excel, with an ability to learn new software/system applications quickly
• Excellent mathematical, problem-solving and interpretive skills
• Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment
Soft Skills:
• Ability to plan, organize & prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrate integrity and respect
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Relevant experience in the commercial mortgage operations is an asset
• Good knowledge of property tax and banking processes preferred
Education:
• Post-secondary education required
