Job Title: Accounts Executive
Responsibilities and Duties
Maintain computerized books of accounts using Tally Accounting Software.
Reconcile vendor invoices, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Coordinate with the HR team for monthly payroll processing, including attendance and salary data collection.
Process employee reimbursement claims accurately and on time.
Manage petty cash, including regular maintenance and reconciliation of the petty cash register.
Ensure safe and secure banking of all incoming payments, including fees and other sources of income.
Track and verify incoming bank transactions and ensure proper allocation in books.
Prepare and maintain Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) on a periodic basis.
Prepare and record all types of payment vouchers.
Calculate and process statutory payments such as PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax, including the preparation of challans and timely payment.
File quarterly returns for all locations/campuses and manage the download and distribution of Form 16 and 16A.
Upload bank statements, PF challans, and related documents via online banking platforms.
Collect and verify investment proofs for employee tax declarations (proposed and actual).
Ensure proper TDS deductions on applicable payments and handle monthly tax payments and quarterly return filings.
Support internal and external audits, finalization of accounts, and tax assessments by compiling necessary data and documentation.
Assist in generating and compiling data for MIS reports and support other functions of the Accounts department.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by management from time to time.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com) preferred.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
Proficiency in Tally Accounting Software is essential.
Working knowledge of statutory compliance, TDS, GST, PF, ESIC, and payroll processes.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
