Job description
We are searching for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Casa Grande, Arizona. In this role, you will be expected to perform a variety of clerical accounting functions, data entry tasks, and provide excellent customer service. This role is within the industry and offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with customers via email, telephone, and in-person.
• Utilize your knowledge of relevant codes and statutes to process new applications for various licenses and services.
• Receive and process payments from walk-in customers, drop box, and mail.
• Reconcile and process payment uploads, including e-lockbox, lockbox, auto draft, automated clearing house, and online credit card payments.
• Maintain control and security over assigned cash drawers; reconcile, balance amounts tendered, and prepare consolidated deposits.
• Assist in the preparation and disbursement of Department change requests as needed.
• Process adjustments and write-offs up to an authorized amount, and refer other requests to the appropriate party.
• Manage administrative tasks such as opening, sorting, and distributing Finance Department mail, maintaining and ordering office supplies, and maintaining work spaces.
• Assist with collections of severely delinquent accounts, including drafting payment arrangements and skip tracing un-locatable customers, as requested.
