Accounting Client Service Lead
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Client Service Lead (CSL) to manage and oversee accounting service delivery for a portfolio of client accounts. In this leadership role, you will supervise an offshore accounting team, ensure timely and accurate reporting, coordinate priorities, and drive continuous process improvement. You will play a key part in maintaining excellent client relationships by delivering consistent and high-quality accounting services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and service delivery for assigned clients.
• Coordinate and assign team tasks, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Manage project workflows and monitor timelines through project management software.
• Set and adjust team priorities on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Review general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and financial data accuracy.
• Prepare financial statements, client reporting packages, and cash flow summaries.
• Mentor, train, and evaluate accounting staff, providing feedback and guidance.
• Analyze client financials and deliver clear insights on financial health.
• Lead initiatives to identify inefficiencies and implement improved processes.
• Support staff and clients in using accounting platforms and systems.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Help develop and refine internal controls and standard operating procedures.
• Assist in audit preparation, client requests, and tax support activities.
• Collaborate with leadership on team goals, performance metrics, and planning.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in client accounting services or financial reporting.
• Prior leadership experience overseeing accounting staff is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient with accounting software, ERP systems, and project management tools.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to meeting deadlines with a client-first mentality.
• Remote work experience supporting US-based clients is a plus.
