What You Will Do
As an Accounting Coordinator, you will be an integral part of SPARK's financial operations. Working closely with the Vice President of Operations, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating various accounting tasks, compiling regular financial statements for leadership, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Your duties include financial reporting, record-keeping, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will handle accounts payable and receivable, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and coordinate internal and external audits. Additionally, you will prepare and file tax returns, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and deadlines, while also supporting the processes around accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, and resolving discrepancies.
Some travel may occasionally be required.

• Record daily financial transactions (accounting payable and accounts receivable).
• Ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date to support monthly reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Regularly reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, and monitor actual performance against budget.
• Ensure all financial records are organized, up-to-date, and compliant with company policies and accounting principles.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Work closely with various departments to gather financial information and support their financial needs.
What You Need
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent certification in Accounting, Finance, or a Related Field.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Google Suite, particularly Sheets.
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide meaningful insights.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness in all financial transactions and reports.
• Clear and effective communication with team members and other departments.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
NICE TO HAVE
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, including internships (preferably a combination of education and professional).
• Basic knowledge of software, web development, technology and marketing solutions.
• Experience in business strategy and solutions.
• Ability to work with different teams and departments to align on various strategies and initiatives.

SALARY RANGE
$40,000 - $62,000 annually
