What will you do as an Accounting Manager?
In this role, you will:
Perform daily accounting activities such as preparing and booking journal entries to the general ledger and monitoring the receivables and payables balances.
Supervise the Billing Specialist and Staff Accountant. Provide regular supervision, mentorship and development for staff.
Prepare and provide analysis of monthly financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, budget vs actual, and prior year vs. actual.
Complete reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts monthly as well as reconciliations between QuickBooks and other financial data systems.
Prepare financial statements and reports for external parties including, but not limited to, State, Federal, United Way, and other regulatory bodies.

What are the requirements?
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and/or auditing required, CPA is a plus!
2+ years’ experience supervising staff preferred
Prior experience in a non-profit or social service environment is a plus
Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook); prior QuickBooks experience is a plus.
