$60,000 – $68,000 (or equivalent hourly/contract rate)

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a hands-on Controller to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the accounting function—from payroll to monthly close—while working in a flexible, mission-driven environment.
You won’t be doing this alone—we have an experienced financial consultant providing oversight—so this is a great fit for someone who is strong operationally and wants support on the strategic side.
We are open to full-time, part-time, or contract arrangements.
What You’ll Do
Handle accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger
Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks
Lead monthly close and reconciliations
Prepare internal financial reports
Process and manage payroll
Track revenue streams (tuition, subsidies, grants)
Assist with basic grant tracking and reporting
Support audit preparation
Help improve and organize financial processes
What We’re Looking For
3–5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
Strong QuickBooks skills
Experience with payroll and day-to-day accounting operations
Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities
Bonus if you have:
Nonprofit experience
Experience with grants or multiple funding sources
Background in childcare, education, or human services
Pay: $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
